COMFOOT HIGH BUILD EPOXICOTE
provides a high build, thickly applied solvent free coating
possessing excellent wear and acid resistance. Applied at 150-200
microns the finished product is attractive and tough enough to
withstand industrial usage. Chemical and abrasion resistance is
transformed - oils and water cannot penetrate into concrete
surfaces. A slip resistant aggregate based version can be supplied
at extra cost (refer to Comfoot Flooring).
Uses: Industrial
flooring, warehouses, chemical plants, effluent plants, garages,
workshops etc.
Surface preparation:
Prepare dusty or new floors by mechanical means i.e. pressure
washing and/or floor grinding..
Light oil spillage may be treated with a propriety floor
degreasant.
Mechanical methods include grit blasting, grinding, and
scarifying.
Procedure: Mix the two
liquid components of the COMFOOT HIGH BUILD EPOXICOTE
using of a slow speed drill and stirrer attachment
(available from COMFOOT FLOORING if required) using a spatula or other
square edged implements around the edges of the can. Do not attempt to split packs - this is
false economy as failure is likely. Spread onto floor or apply
from tray/scuttle (available from COMFOOT FLOORING).

IMPORTANT: Mixed sealer
should not be left in the tin as exothermic action will produce
flash set in 15-20 minutes. Do not, for example, paint around the
edges of the area, or around machinery using a paint brush. Spread
onto the floor or apply from a tray/scuttle as mentioned above,
thus avoiding bulk sealer.
Pack Size/Coverage: 5kg
or 10kg packs, coverage 20 or 40 sq. m. per coat dependant upon
the texture and temperature of the base. Two coats are
recommended.
