To speed up vegetation and reproduction in greenhouses, it is
possible to warm the soil with heat from early spring. This
means that the vegetation starts earlier and the harvest is
longer, and it is also possible to cultivate more heat requiring
plants that normally only grow in subtropical/tropical
latitudes. The heat in the soil and air can be adapted to the
most optimal temperature for the growing conditions of the
plants.
To reach the necessary temperature deviflex™ heating cables
are ideal and with the electronic devireg™ thermostats and
sensors the energy consumption will be minimal.
Product choice:
deviflex™ DTIP-10 and DTIP-18 are the most
used heating cables for this application.
To control the temperature in greenhouses a devireg™ 330 or
610 should be used. The optimal soil temperature for good
growing conditions depends on the type of plant and its age.
Typical temperatures for plants in greenhouses are between 15º
and 25ºC; for cuttings and seedbeds the temperature should be
up to 30ºC.
